Tyres Herco’s plant is using Amandus Kahl GmbH & Co state-of-the-art technology. Our modern facilities are located in the industrial area of Patras (Greece’s third largest port), a greenfield project with a 1.650m2 plant over 11.000m2 of land. It has a capacity of 21,000 tons of tyres a year – about 2,500,000 individual tyres – producing rubber granules and fine powder products. Byproducts stripped from shredded tyres are scrap steel and textile fibres from the tyre beads and reinforcement, which are also recycled and re-used.

All tests are done by the SGS Institute Fresenius in Berlin according to the standard DIN V 18035-7. SGS Institute Fresenius is accredited for all experimental methods needed and according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 by the accrediting authority of the DAP, Deutsches Akkreditierungswesen GmbH.
